SDC has deep roots back to the 1940’s when Edward T. Dicker began Magnolia Homes which became Centex Construction Company. In the 50’s Dicker constructed over 2,000 residential homes on 7 Air Force bases and built and owned 3525 Turtle Creek in Dallas, Texas, which at the time was the tallest all concrete structure west of the Mississippi. In the 60’s and 70’s,developed and sold 6,000 lots, privately financed and held the mortgages privately. Dicker & Sons built homes in 29 countries. In the 70’s Dennis, Greg and Jeff founded Centex Real Estate Co. for commercial projects.

Formed 3D-M Inc. to construct 900 apartment units in Dallas, Tx., developed 350 self storage units privately financed in Addison, Tx.
